The actor took part in a number of large-scale promotional strategies for the film, which he said was inspired by the spirit of his character.
“It’s a movie about the pursuit of a dream,” Chalamet told IndieWire. “I’m leaving it on the field. Whether it’s the merch or the Zoom or the media appearances, I’m trying to get this out in the biggest way possible. In the spirit of Marty Mauser.”
This was the actor's fourth Critics Choice nomination. He was previously nominated for Best Actor for A Complete Unknown in 2025, Best Supporting Actor for Beautiful Boy in 2019 and Best Actor for Call Me By Your Name in 2018.
