Reum popped the question for the second time on the beach in Turks and Caicos with their two children, Phoenix and London, there for the special moment

Paris Hilton's husband, Carter Reum, pulled off an unforgettable Valentine's Day surprise this year.
Five years after he originally popped the question, Reum asked Hilton to marry him "all over again" in a romantic "re-proposal" on Saturday, Feb. 14, she tells PEOPLE exclusively. The moment unfolded on a beach at sunset in Turks and Caicos, with the couple's two children — son Phoenix, 3, and daughter London, 2 — by their side.
"It was even more magical than the first time," Hilton, 45, says, adding, "Having London and Phoenix there with us made it so emotional and special."

Reum, also 45, set the scene with lush white floral arrangements and candles decorating the sand. He also erected a series of lit-up letters that read, "WILL YOU MARRY ME AGAIN?"

Photos show Reum, dressed in an all-white suit and black loafers, down on one knee as he presented a ring in a pink box to wife Hilton, who wore a white, Grecian-inspired draped dress with flowing sleeves for the occasion. She accessorized with glittery heels and a white captain's hat.
"We’ve built this beautiful little family together, and being on the beach, surrounded by so much love, I just felt so grateful," the "I'm Free" singer says of the proposal. "Carter is my best friend, my partner, my forever. Every year with him just gets sweeter… and this moment was pure fairytale."

After Hilton said "yes" and she and Reum took some time to privately savor the moment with their children, the foursome was joined on the beach by family and friends to celebrate. The night was fittingly capped off with a custom pink fireworks show that lit up the dark sky.
The Valentine's Day re-proposal came just days ahead of Paris' 45th birthday on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

The Simple Life alum and Reum got engaged for the first time around on Feb. 17, 2021, after more than a year of dating. Reum proposed — with a ring designed by Jean Dousset, the great-grandson of Louis Cartier — while the couple was celebrating Hilton's 40th birthday on a private island.

At the time, Hilton told PEOPLE her relationship with Reum was "a gift" and said she was "excited for our next chapter."
For his part, Reum said of the engagement, "I couldn't be more excited and lucky to have her as my future wife and partner. She shines with her kindness, work ethic, authenticity, and her voice in making the world a better place and she will do the same as a future mother and wife."
The pair went on to tie the knot nine months later on Nov. 11, 2021, with a star-studded wedding at a private estate in Los Angeles. "My forever begins today... ✨💍 11/11 💝," Hilton captioned an Instagram photo of herself in her wedding gown at the time.

She and Reum welcomed Phoenix through a surrogate on Jan. 16, 2023, followed by London — also via a surrogate — on Nov. 11, 2023, their second wedding anniversary.

In her new documentary, Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir (released on Jan. 30), Hilton opened up about her relationship with her husband, calling Reum her "safe place."
