Nicki Minaj just made a viral blunder in front of Erika Kirk.

During her surprise appearance at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest Conference on Sunday, Dec. 21, the rapper referred to Vice President JD Vance as an "assassin" while complimenting him and President Donald Trump.

"For young men, don't be Newscum," Minaj began, making a jab at California Governor Gavin Newsom. "Dear young men, you have amazing role models like our handsome, dashing president."

"And you have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president," she continued.

After realizing what she had said, Minaj attempted to clarify her statement before pausing to put her hand over the mouth.

Kirk laughed it off and responded, "Trust me, there's nothing new under the sun that I have not heard so you're fine."

Before their conversation at Turning Point USA's annual convention, the singer and Kirk walked out on stage hand-in-hand.

Erika became CEO of the organization after her husband, Charlie Kirk, was shot and killed at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.

Since her husband's passing, Kirk's friendship with Vance has been the subject of intense media scrutiny — with a hug shared between the two at a Turning Point USA event in October causing widespread speculation about the nature of their relationship.

During an appearance on Megyn Kelly Live on Nov. 24, Erika explained her side of the infamous moment for the very first time.

“My love language is touch, if you will,” Erika said of the moments leading up to the hug. “So, I will give you a play-by-play: They just played the emotional video. I’m walking over, [JD] is walking over. I’m starting to cry.”

“He says, ‘I’m so proud of you.’ And I say, ‘God bless you,’ and I touch the back of his head,” she continued. “Anyone whom I have hugged, that I have touched the back of your head when I hug you, I always say, ‘God bless you.'”

Minaj, for her part, has been a vocal supporter of President Trump and his administration. Last month, fans noticed the singer reposted an official White House TikTok video — set to her song “Va Va Voom” — which listed all of Trump’s purported achievements during the first year of his second presidential term.

She also has recently shared numerous pro-Trump and pro-Vance posts to her X account.
