Taylor Bates and Tiffany Compton get it.
With deep ties to the NFL as the wife and daughter of former players, respectively, the dynamic duo understand the hustle and bustle of the lifestyle and the oftentimes unpredictable trajectories of professional football families, having experienced it all themselves.
That's why the strangers-turned-coworkers teamed up to found Elliot Tate Design, an interiors firm that's become a go-to for wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of players in the league who are looking for a trusted — and stylish! — eye to create a place they can call home no matter the circumstances.

For a firm founded less than two years ago, Bates and Compton — who originally met on Instagram — have built an impressive client roster to date. Their non-stop bookings show just "how tight the WAG community is," Compton when speaking with PEOPLE exclusively.
"When you're in it, you're in it and there comes a certain level of trust with that, so it has been incredible to see this community support my dreams and my passions," continues Compton, whose now-retired husband played for seven NFL teams in 11 years.
Among their past clients are Carly and Wyatt Teller (Cleveland Browns offensive lineman who was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft) and Emma and Ryan Kelly (Minnesota Vikings center who was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2016 NFL Draft).

"Kristin Juszczyk is one of my biggest cheerleaders," Compton says of San Fransisco 49ers Kyle Juszczyk's wife, who also made a name for herself in the WAG style space. "Her and Claire Kittle [wife of San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle] champion me all the time. They always share my designs and they're always loving our content."
"Our business was two months too young to make it with Julie Cousins. She kept being like, 'I wish I would've waited for you'!" Bates says of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins' wife, who shares two sons with the football star.
Compton adds, "We would love to work with them. Kirk Cousins is my husband's best friend."

They've also teamed up with wide receiver Courtland Sutton of the Denver Broncos and offensive tackle Penei Sewell of the Detroit Lions. All of those names come from the last six months alone, a noteworthy feat that makes Elliot Tate Design a hot commodity in the WAG world.
Aside from being a trusted team and well-known in the NFL community, Bates and Compton take pride in getting the job done FAST having "lived experience" for why that's a must within their own football families.
"I understand what it's like to go with a new team," Compton tells PEOPLE. "My husband played for seven teams in 11 years, and so we bounced around here, there, everywhere. When you get the call that you are signing with a new team, you have to get things going quick."

"So I knew that there was a market for this," she says. "And we actually did that for Emma and Ryan Kelly. He was with the Colts forever... It took seven weeks from the day that I went to look at the home with her to furnishing the entire thing."
The ladies point out how athletes are "a whole different world" when it comes to real estate, noting how many of them have houses around the city where their team is based and permanent residences perhaps out of state when they're not in season.
Football players, in particular, are also built differently than the average non-athlete client that Elliot Tate Design takes into consideration when furnishing.

"My dad and her husband both were offensive linemen, so they're really, really big guys. So ironically we're doing a lot of really big people's houses," Bates says. "Making sure the shoe depths in closets are deep enough for these size 15 shoes. The shoe rack has to be wide!"
Compton adds, "There are a lot of nuances like that when designing for athletes. When we source dining room chairs, we have to look at weight capacities. They have to be able to hold 400 pounds. They can't have the really tight sides because their hips don't fit in the size."
"We have to make sure the clearances don't drop because these guys are 6'7", 6'8". We don't want them hitting their heads on a chandelier," she says with a laugh. "The hyperbaric chamber has to go here and we need a spot for recovery band... all these things."

Elliot Tate Design prides itself on creating "livable luxury," but also ensures that homes are "tailored to the people" and their respective needs. Some families have children, others have pets — and some have "requests we maybe can't disclose," jokes Bates.
Needless to say, Compton and Bates are having fun with their passion project-turned-bustling venture. Did we mention they're also talking to a TV production company right now, and that they have big dreams to collaborate with the most A-list WAG of them all, Taylor Swift?
"Like I said, Claire and George Kittle are some of our good friends and we've chatted with them about potentially designing a home for Travis and Taylor whenever they decide to buy their forever [home]," says Compton.

"That would obviously be a dream client," she says of her hopes to collaborate with Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs in the future.
Bates adds, "I went to school in Kansas City, so any of the Chiefs players would be really fun. We'd love to do it."
Naturally, Elliot Tate Design already has a vision in mind for Swift and Kelce's interior design.

"I would picture a very refined lounge-y space for Taylor where it's very artsy, very almost like Art Deco," says Compton. "That's how I would picture a spot for her, but then we would absolutely do the most ridiculous man cave for Travis."
Of the man cave, Bates explains: "Really rich, dark woods, heavy leathers, like really moody. Maybe that 1920s vibe, really do it up nice, some soft lighting." To which Compton adds, "Think Ralph Lauren."
The women also foresee a studio in the home, given the 14-time Grammy winner's career and the 3-time Super Bowl winner's New Heights podcasting side hustle.

"And a 'catio!' exclaims Compton, explaining, "We would design a patio for Taylor's cats."
When looking ahead at the future of Elliot Tate Design, the powerhouse designers picture more than just becoming "a household name." They strive to shine a bright light on the WAG community, their families and the "very, very, very strong women" within it.
"We get it," reemphasizes Bates. "The NFL casts a long shadow and we both were in it, me for growing up with my dad and Tiffany with her husband. We're both really driven individuals. And so we're not comfortable staying in that shadow. We wanted to plant next to it and do our own thing."
Now, they get to do that for others.
"We want to tailor it to their circumstances and not just leave it as the allure that is in that shadow... we want to deliver that," she says. "This is your family, this is your home, this is your team."
