Twice this past Saturday I encountered the "dreaded" white slip in my Broadway playbill: with much of the main *Outsiders* cast out, as well as literally 50 percent of *Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)*, since Sam Tutty was on a scheduled day off from the two-person musical rom-com. Yet Eli Talley as Ponyboy and Vincent Michael impressed — and charmed — the hell out of me in their respective shows. (All this one day after catching *Modern Family* alum Sarah Hyland in *Just in Time*. I didn’t think anyone could hold a candle to Gracie Lawrence, who was Tony-nominated for her work as Connie Francis. But Hyland was a revelation, blowing me away with her vocals and impressive emotional connection to Jonathan Groff as Bobby Darrin.) Next time you see one of those white slips, don't be disappointed — get excited. —*Patrick Gomez, Editor-in-Chief***

EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert

'EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert'.

Sure, you know and love Elvis, but you've never seen him like this. Baz Luhrmann's *EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert* isn't a documentary or a concert film. The movie comprises unearthed footage (literally stored in salt mines in Kansas) from 10 performances and rehearsals, and is told in the singer's own words via a 40-minute audio interview. But it's those performances that make this movie a must-see — and *in* theaters, preferably on the largest screen possible (it's available exclusively in IMAX this week, then in wide release Feb. 27). —*Gerrad Hall, Editorial Director*

Love Story

Sarah Pidgeon as Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and Paul Kelly as John F. Kennedy Jr. on 'Love Story'.

Depicting famous people on screen can be tricky, but Sarah Pidgeon and Paul Anthony Kelly seamlessly fall into the roles of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr. in this FX on Hulu series. Bonus: the '90s soundtrack, featuring Portishead and Mazzy Star, is excellent. —*Tiffany Kelly, Staff Editor*

Prime Video's new documentary series on the American Basketball Association shows how the renegade league changed the game — literally — with innovations like the three-point line and the Slam Dunk Contest. The Other Place

*House of the Dragon*'s Emma D'Arcy and *The Crown*'s Tobias Menzies are mesmerizing as they channel major family dysfunction in this tragic *Antigone* update at the Shed in NYC that will leave everyone — both on stage and off — absolutely shattered. —*D.R.*

At a time when fandoms are growing, Jenny Tinghui Zhang's novel, about a Texas college student's obsession with a boy band, is alarmingly relevant. With shifting perspectives, *Superfan* excels at revealing the toxic — and lonely — side of fan culture. —*T.K.*
